Jack of the Wood on Patton has been holding it down since '97 with 18 rotating taps, a cask pull, and proper pub grub, fish and chips, Reubens, Irish stew that actually tastes like something. The room runs old-time and bluegrass jams midweek, weekend headliners at 9pm, and Sunday afternoon Irish sessions that draw players who know the tunes.

Jack of the Wood is a downtown Asheville Celtic pub on Patton Avenue, hosting live music nights since 1997. Bluegrass jams, Irish folk sessions, and rotating bands fill the room most nights of the week.
