Jack of the Wood sits one block from Pritchard Park on Patton Ave, a small Irish pub pouring 18 rotating taps plus cask ale where the Wednesday old-time sessions kick off at 5pm. The spot opened in 1997 as Green Man Brewery's original home and still runs a full whiskey bar alongside pub grub like fish and chips and Reubens.

Jack of the Wood is a downtown Asheville Celtic pub on Patton Avenue, hosting live music nights since 1997. Bluegrass jams, Irish folk sessions, and rotating bands fill the room most nights of the week.
