Sit A Spell | Bluegrass Session plays Ginger's Revenge on Friday, October 2 at 6:00 PM. Easy one to plan a night around.

The South Slope location runs about 17 taps in a room that fits around 80, which makes it the cozier of the two spots when traditional music sessions get rolling. Most shows here are free entry, and the acoustic-friendly setup means you can actually hear the picking without fighting a PA system.

Ginger's Revenge is Asheville's original craft ginger beer brewery and tasting room, located on Riverside Drive in the River Arts District. They brew gluten-free alcoholic ginger beers with 95% organic ingredients and rotate creative flavors like Cranberry Herb, Hibiscus Lavender, and Lime Agave. Eight ginger beers on tap, draft cocktails, snacks, and live music on weekends.

Even self-described non-ginger-beer people tend to leave converted after a flight at Ginger's Revenge. Locals credit the staff for walking first-timers through flavor pairings without any craft-beer snobbery, and the small-batch, sustainability-focused approach gets called out as the reason people bring out-of-town guests here.
