Jack of the Wood has been the downtown spot since 1997 for proper fish and chips, 18 rotating taps, and whatever's happening on the small stage, old-time sessions on Wednesdays, Irish trad on Sundays, and weekend headliners who know their way around a mandolin or fiddle.

Jack of the Wood is a downtown Asheville Celtic pub on Patton Avenue, hosting live music nights since 1997. Bluegrass jams, Irish folk sessions, and rotating bands fill the room most nights of the week.
