Carolina Celtic: Maíre Ní Chathasaigh & Chris Newman

Carolina Celtic: Maíre Ní Chathasaigh & Chris Newman plays White Horse Black Mountain on Monday, October 12 at 7:00 PM. Grab a friend and make a night of it.

White Horse grabs the artists who need people actually sitting down and shutting up to appreciate what they're doing. The room's built for pristine sound in the Black Mountain hills, so you get folk, Americana, world music, and jazz acts that rely on actual acoustics instead of volume, and the crowd skews older because they remember when listening meant listening.

White Horse Black Mountain is a beloved intimate music hall located in downtown Black Mountain, NC. With a cozy capacity of approximately 150-180 seats, this venue is celebrated as a true “listening room” where the focus is squarely on the music and the artist-audience connection. In addition to live concerts featuring genres from jazz and bluegrass to rock and Americana,

White Horse also hosts storytelling nights, theater, poetry readings, puppetry, and community fundraisers.
