Photon puts keyboards, live electronica, jazz and house music into an improvisational dance set. Keyboardist Jimmy Dunstan founded the project, with The New Deal, Medeski Martin & Wood and Tycho among its stated influences.

The project began as a tribute to Stephen Hawking, using ideas about light and quantum possibilities as a starting point for the music. Photon has also released tracks through Denver's Color Red Music.

The One Stop hosts this show at 55 College Street in downtown Asheville. Music starts at 10 p.m., and this show is 21+.

The One Stop is the smaller room at Asheville Music Hall, a bar, kitchen and live music venue at 55 College St in downtown Asheville. Shows usually start around 9 or 10 PM, with local and regional bands most nights and weekly nights like Shakedown Sundays. It's 21 and up, and the bar opens at 6 PM most nights and 5 PM on Friday and Saturday.

Regulars treat it as the late show, catching a band here after the main room lets out. It's a good place to hear a band before they move up to bigger rooms.
