Samurai Test Drive plays Asheville Music Hall on Thursday, October 29. Get there a little early if you want a good spot.

Some shows here are all-ages and some aren't, so double-check the listing before you roll up to the door. The upstairs room pulls a younger crowd when it goes all-ages, but that shifts depending on what's booked for the night.

Asheville Music Hall is a downtown Asheville concert venue on Patton Avenue that brings in national touring acts, rising bands and local favorites in a room that feels big but still personal. The sound and lights are dialed in for rock, indie, hip-hop, electronic and pop shows, and the layout lets you get close to the stage or step back for a breather. The One Stop is its smaller sister room in the same building.

Locals count on Asheville Music Hall for consistent shows, friendly staff and a smooth night from the door to the encore. The crowds are into it but respectful, and it's a good place to catch a band before they blow up.
