Brian Ashley Jones and Melanie Jean plays Shamrock Irons Irish Pub on Friday, October 16 at 7:00 PM. Easy one to plan a night around.

You can post up right by the stage or grab a table farther back if you want to settle in with a Guinness and shepherd's pie. The setup works whether you're here to catch the whole set or just passing through for a pint, and most nights something's happening on that stage without a cover charge.

Shamrock Irons is an Irish pub on College Street in downtown Asheville, with Guinness, Irish whiskey, handcrafted cocktails and more than 32 beers on a rotating draft list. The kitchen serves Irish comfort food, including fish and chips made with North Atlantic cod and hand-cut fries, plus wings and loaded fries. Live music runs through the week, with a Thursday Jazz Showcase and Jam, Sunday Sips and Strings, and local and regional bands on Friday and Saturday nights.

Asheville locals call it a typical pub in the best way, with crisp fish and chips and friendly service, and the music nights make it feel like a gathering.
