Taylor Scott Band mixes funk, blues, soul and rock 'n' roll into what the Denver group calls Mountain Funk. Guitar and keyboard improvisation sit alongside vocals, bass, drums and percussion.

Try the Sorry, Kids EP or the earlier album The Hang before heading out. Scott's background also includes touring with Otis Taylor and recording with Warren Haynes and Henry Garza.

The Asheville show is at The One Stop, 55 College Street. Music starts at 10 p.m., and this show is 21+.

The One Stop is the smaller room at Asheville Music Hall, a bar, kitchen and live music venue at 55 College St in downtown Asheville. Shows usually start around 9 or 10 PM, with local and regional bands most nights and weekly nights like Shakedown Sundays. It's 21 and up, and the bar opens at 6 PM most nights and 5 PM on Friday and Saturday.

Regulars treat it as the late show, catching a band here after the main room lets out. It's a good place to hear a band before they move up to bigger rooms.
