Feral Friday Horror Fest at The Asheville Masonic Temple

The Asheville Film Festival brings its horror, thriller and experimental shorts back for one night at the Asheville Masonic Temple. Feral Friday Horror Fest pairs two blocks of short films with a red carpet, a costume contest and a raffle with prizes like a 1930s 8mm projector.

Doors open at 6:30 PM on Friday. The first films roll at 7:15, the costume contest starts at 8:30, and raffle winners are announced at 9:30. Every ticket and drink supports the nonprofit festival.

General admission is $25 and includes charcuterie, a drink and a raffle ticket. VIP is $49. Wear your costume and get your tickets now.

The Asheville Masonic Temple at 80 Broadway Street in downtown Asheville opened in 1915, designed by architect Richard Sharp Smith. Its historic theater hosts classical and rock tribute candlelight concerts, plays and weddings.

The theater was built with hand-painted stage sets by Masonic artist Thomas Gibbs Moses. The building remains a working Masonic lodge while opening its rooms for public events downtown.
