Marshall Music Exchange Opening Day at ReString Appalachia

ReString Appalachia · Saturday, October 31

The Scoop

ReString Appalachia opens its first brick and mortar home on Saturday, Oct 31. The Marshall Music Exchange at 38 S Main Street in Marshall is a music shop selling instruments and strings, with repairs and luthier work, and it's home to the ReString Hub, a 50-capacity room for jams, workshops, open mics and gospel singing. The nonprofit started after Hurricane Helene to get free instruments back to musicians who lost them, and it has given away more than 1,000 so far. The shop is the next step: a spot on Main Street where players can find gear, gigs and each other. Membership is free and takes 20 to 75 percent off instruments, strings and repairs depending on the tier. Head to Marshall on Halloween, see the new space and sign up while you're there.
