Ben Colvin Quartet and Special Guest at Hotel Eve Jazz

Saxophonist Ben Colvin brings his quartet and a special guest to Hotel Eve on Thursday. The band moves from 60s soul jazz to Afro-Cuban rhythms to modern fusion and funk, with tunes from Wayne Shorter and Hank Mobley next to Roy Hargrove, Ben Wendel and a few originals.

Colvin is joined by Joe Enright on drums, Danny Iannucci on bass and Alex Taub on keys. Hotel Eve is a downtown jazz listening room in a 1907 basement, built for people who came to hear the music.

Sets start at 7 and 8:30 PM on Thursday, November 5 at Hotel Eve Jazz, 56 N Lexington Ave. Cover is $10 at the door, or reserve a table ahead through Turntable Tickets. 21 and up.

Hotel Eve is a speakeasy-style upscale jazz and cocktail lounge in downtown Asheville, featuring live jazz performances by local and rotating artists in an intimate hidden setting.Hotel Eve Jazz, Apple Maps, Stu Helm
