Ella opens its doors for its first public Halloween party. DJ Dr. Get Right keeps the dance floor moving all night with '80s remixes, early 2000s hits, house, funk and disco.

Costumes are the main event. The best one wins $500 cash and The Golden Ghoul trophy, with the winner announced at 10 PM. Order a Deadly Nightshade or The Grave Mistake from the bar, then grab instant prints at the self-serve photo booth.

Saturday, October 31, 7 PM to midnight at 49 Broadway Street in downtown Asheville. Tickets are $20, with a buy 4, get 1 free deal for a limited time. Pick your costume and get your tickets.

Ella is an event venue in the historic Broadway Arts Building, built in 1928 in downtown Asheville. The 6,000-square-foot room has original tin ceilings, hardwood floors, exposed brick, a working fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows. It hosts weddings, galas, company parties, pop-ups and public dance nights, with room for 299 on the dance floor.

Couples and party hosts call it flexible. The open floor works for a seated dinner, a live band or a packed dance floor without feeling crowded, and the team behind it spent twenty years running events before taking over the space.
