Stop by the lounge for an apple-filled dessert night. Ages 21+.

Potential New Boyfriend is a West Asheville wine bar and ice cream parlor set up like a living room. Plush furniture, colorful art and a hi-fi system spinning vinyl set the mood for curated wines, inventive ice creams, charcuterie and desserts. It's 21+ and open Tuesday through Sunday, with happy hour in the early afternoon.

Locals rave about the service and the house-made desserts from chef Dana Amromin, formerly of ButterPunk. The staff is friendly and unfussy, so it's easy to explore the wine list even as a beginner.
