The Orange Peel sits right on downtown Biltmore Ave and books the kind of acts that make you scan their calendar before making weekend plans. The 950-capacity standing room has a sound system that does justice to whatever's happening on stage, and Etix makes grabbing tickets straightforward when something catches your eye.

The Orange Peel is a live music venue and concert hall at 101 Biltmore Ave in downtown Asheville, open since 2002 and booking national touring acts across rock, hip-hop, indie, electronic and more. The room holds about 1,050, so you stay close to the stage even at a sold-out show, and the wooden dance floor has some spring to it. Downstairs, Pulp is a 21-and-up bourbon bar and lounge with its own smaller shows.
