Vexd

The Scoop

Vexd plays Friday, October 30. Dark dubstep duo from the UK who were part of the early DMZ scene with Jamie Teasdale and Roly Porter. Released their album Degenerate in 2005 and helped shape the genre's heavier, more experimental side before splitting up. The kitchen keeps slinging burgers and wings well past midnight when the rest of Asheville has gone dark, which matters when you've been shooting pool or catching the late set and realize it's 1am. The Shorts have been running this spot in East Asheville since 2014, and they understand that bar crowds need actual food, not just pretzels and regret.
