Steven Alvarez is an Asheville guitarist and composer whose music draws on jazz and rock. Originally from Miami, he names influences ranging from Led Zeppelin and Allan Holdsworth to Jim Hall and Bobby Broom.

This show features Alvarez's own writing and music by bassist Keith Snyder. The announced ensemble also includes Ayush Joshi on keys, Jason Chrisman on saxophone, EWI and Moog, Patrick Lane on drums and Andrew Lawniczak on trumpet.

They're playing The One Stop at 55 College Street. Music starts at 9:30 p.m., and this show is 21+.

The One Stop is the smaller room at Asheville Music Hall, a bar, kitchen and live music venue at 55 College St in downtown Asheville. Shows usually start around 9 or 10 PM, with local and regional bands most nights and weekly nights like Shakedown Sundays. It's 21 and up, and the bar opens at 6 PM most nights and 5 PM on Friday and Saturday.

Regulars treat it as the late show, catching a band here after the main room lets out. It's a good place to hear a band before they move up to bigger rooms.
