Radish is a Baltimore string band that describes itself as bluegrass-ish. Traditional and contemporary material meets improvisation, with bass, banjo, guitar, mandolin and dobro in the lineup.

The band brings together Chris Ackerman, Sam Allen, Sam Cochran, Wyatt Graham and Matthew Zuckerman. Its self-titled debut is a listening starting point if the name is new to you.

Radish plays The One Stop at 55 College Street. Music starts at 10 p.m., and this show is 21+.

The One Stop is the smaller room at Asheville Music Hall, a bar, kitchen and live music venue at 55 College St in downtown Asheville. Shows usually start around 9 or 10 PM, with local and regional bands most nights and weekly nights like Shakedown Sundays. It's 21 and up, and the bar opens at 6 PM most nights and 5 PM on Friday and Saturday.

Regulars treat it as the late show, catching a band here after the main room lets out. It's a good place to hear a band before they move up to bigger rooms.
