Saturday night at Shamrock Irons, 9pm start. The pub's got that lived-in feel where you can actually hear yourself think between sets, good spot if you want to catch a show without the weekend crush getting too intense. You can post up close to the stage if you want to lock in on the band, or hang back at one of the pub tables with a Guinness and shepherd's pie from the kitchen. Most nights have live music without a cover, so it's easy to roll in whenever and catch whoever's playing that week. Street parking downtown on College St can get tight after 8, but there's usually something within a block or two.
