Trial to Table with the Utopian Seed Project at The Mule

The Utopian Seed Project wraps up its 2026 Trial to Table series at The Mule this Saturday. Local chefs cook with crops from the project's research farm, so you get to taste vegetables and grains that could be the future of Southern Appalachian farming. It runs from 1 to 4 PM at 131 Sweeten Creek Road. Lynn Wells of Thyme Well Spent, Dana Amromin of Potential New Boyfriend, Awo Amenumey of Eh'vivi, Ashley Capps of Newstock Pantry and Nick Barr of Chai Pani are cooking with squash, ube, sorghum, yacon and taro leaves.
