Knuckle-Deep BBQ Fest is back for its 17th round, with backyard barbecue teams competing at Wedge at Foundation. Teams like Fine Swine, Death by Bacon and Thunder Pig Allstars are going head to head in chicken, ribs, pork butt, brisket and freestyle. BBQ Alley opens for samples on Sunday from noon to about 4:30 PM at 5 Foundy Street in the River Arts District. Grab a Wedge beer to wash it down. The money raised goes to Holiday Wishes for Foster Care and to Helene recovery for the local businesses that have backed the fest. It's $25 for adults and $15 for kids, paid as a donation. Come hungry and help a good cause.
